Our mission is to empower, educate, and elevate the industry’s finest, fostering a brighter and more compassionate future for everyone.
Celebrating 15 years
We have spent the last decade and a half delivering and developing our suite our exceptional yacht training courses for crew at every stage of their journey.
When we started, our focus was on classroom-based and onboard training programmes. And in 2009, we pioneered the industry’s first Purser training course, and today our GUEST-accredited Purser programme remains the top choice for aspiring professionals, alongside our Leadership, Project Management, Service and Mental Health courses.
In 2017, we expanded into eLearning courses, launching our first-generation Virtual Learning Environment (VLE) in 2020. Now in its fourth iteration, the VLE has become a powerful tool for our students, offering centralised access to all course information, live sessions, and study materials.
Today, The Crew Academy is an industry-leading training provider with over 700 courses available both in-person and online. We offer regularly scheduled courses, as well as bespoke training and crew learning portals.

Free Mental Heath Training.
As part of our ongoing commitment to elevating industry standards and fostering positive working environments on board, we offer free Mental Health training for our alumni.
Over the last 5 years, we have funded more than 1500 Mental Health Awareness courses for our graduates, which are provided in partnership with MHFA England. This includes:
- Mental Health Awareness for yacht crew
- Captain’s Mental Health for Captains, HODs and senior crew
- Suicide Prevention, Addiction & Recovery
