The Owner’s Representative Register is designed to connect qualified ORs with potential clients, fostering a more professional and transparent industry.
Applications are now open for this public platform, hosted by The Superyacht Alliance, which will be officially launched at The Superyacht Forum (TSF) in Amsterdam this November 18 and 19, 2024.
The first 25 Yacht Owner’s Representatives with build experience on at least 3 yachts will also receive a free ticket for TSF.
The initiative was set up by the Superyacht Builders Association (SYBAss) in partnership with the International Association of Maritime Institutions (IAMI) and GUEST Program.
This is alongside training providers The Crew Academy, who deliver the Yacht Owner’s Representative Program (YORP) — the industry-recognised qualification providing specialist insight into the role of an OR.
The YORP is the industry-recognised qualification setting a new standard, providing deep knowledge and understanding of the leadership, operational and technical skills required in the role of an OR.
Be recognized as a qualified Owner’s Representative by leading industry bodies, enhancing your professional standing and credibility.
Increase your visibility and access a wider range of potential clients seeking experienced and qualified representatives.
Help elevate industry standards and attract more yacht owners by demonstrating your commitment to professionalism and expertise.
Engage with a community of Owner’s Representatives, sharing knowledge and best practices to further your professional development.
Benefit from annual meetings, lectures, and networking opportunities organized by SYBAss and the Superyacht Alliance.
To be eligible for the Register, you must meet at least one of the following requirements:
Successfully complete all four courses of the Yacht Owner’s Representative Program (YORP).
Have experience as an Owner’s Representative on at least three new build projects over 30 meters and complete YORP Course 1 or an equivalent leadership course.
Experienced Owner’s Representatives may be eligible for “grandfathering” onto the Register on a case-by-case basis, subject to completing YORP Course 1 or an equivalent by June 30, 2027.
The YORP is the industry-recognised qualification setting a new standard, providing deep knowledge and understanding of the leadership, operational and technical skills required in the role of an OR.
