Head of Service - Private Villa, SOF

We are seeking an experienced Head of Service stewardess to join a beautiful private villa in the South of France for the summer season.
We are looking for someone with a strong yachting background who enjoys delivering exceptional service, leading a team and creating memorable experiences for guests. This is a hands-on role within a well-run household and would suit a Chief Stewardess or experienced Second Stewardess looking for a seasonal land-based position.
The villa is used by the principals, their family and friends throughout the summer and regularly hosts lunches, cocktail parties, themed dinners and other social occasions.

Salary: €5,000 per month
Accommodation: Private room in staff accommodation located approximately 5 minutes from the villa.

Job Description

You will work closely with the Villa Manager and the rest of the household team to ensure a smooth and enjoyable experience for guests throughout the season.
The role is heavily service-focused and includes overseeing breakfast, lunch, dinner and cocktail service, coordinating with the chef on guest preferences and helping create beautiful table settings and themed evenings.
You will also assist with provisioning, help manage the service team and ensure standards remain consistently high across the property.
The ideal candidate is someone who takes initiative, think ahead and enjoy adding personal touches that elevate the guest experience.

Requirements:

Previous experience as a Chief Stewardess or strong Second Stewardess on a busy private or charter yacht is essential.
The ideal candidate will have:

  • Strong food and beverage service skills
  • Experience leading and supporting a team
  • Excellent organisation and attention to detail
  • Provisioning and inventory experience
  • Confidence communicating with chefs, guests and management
  • A positive, proactive attitude
  • A genuine passion for hospitality and guest service

Additional Information:

The property can host up to 10-14 guests at a time, mainly family and friends of the principals.
The team is friendly, professional and close-knit, with everyone working together to create a relaxed but high-standard environment.
Flexibility is important during busy guest periods, particularly throughout July and August.
