The Crew Academy’s New Build Project Management program focuses on the leadership, departmental, and operational responsibilities within the new build process. With a strong emphasis on how HODs contribute to a successful project, not on representing owners in the shipyard.
Participants will be provided with the necessary knowledge and the tools to contribute effectively in any new build projects, ensuring the vessel is delivered operationally functional, safe, efficient, and crew-ready.
The course is delivered over 5 days, in-person at our dedicated facility in STP shipyard. Alternatively, you can join in the conversation live online via Zoom. This program also includes 10 live sessions with our expert list of guest speakers, delivered online via the kelp. training platform including a mixture of interactive in-person and online masterclasses with additional self study.

Course Format

Students booking onto the New Build Project Management program with The Crew Academy will gain immediate access to the full course content and library of resources. Students must complete all self-study and live training within the 12 month period of booking.

Please note:
Students must possess good knowledge of verbal and written English to successfully complete this program.
Students must have some formal basic training and / or 1 season of onboard experience.
Students must have a good working knowledge of onboard SOPs and administration.
Students must be at least 18 years old.
