The Crew Academy’s GUEST-accredited Housekeeping & Laundry Services program is designed to provide you with a comprehensive understanding of what it takes to maintain impeccable standards of cleanliness on board a superyacht.
This program is essential as it equips you with the practical skills and expertise required to manage two of the most critical aspects of yacht service, interior care and laundry services.
Here you will gain a deeper understanding of how to properly clean and detail every area of the yacht, from guest cabins and common areas to delicate surfaces and finishes. You will also learn the correct techniques for washing, drying, and pressing a wide range of fabrics.
Finally, you will be taught how to handle guest’s personal items discreetly and respectfully, which is a foundational skill for building trust and maintaining privacy in the on board environment.
Course Format

Series of multiple-choice knowledge checks throughout the course.

Practical assessments throughout.

Online examination to complete (30 multiple choice or short answer questions, 1 hour).

Iron, ironing board and shirt, pants, pillowcase, and napkin for ironing assessment

After completing the course, you will officially be part of our Alumni community and will have free access to our Mental Health courses as well as discounts on other courses.
Platform access
Students booking onto the Housekeeping and Laundry Service program with The Crew Academy will gain immediate access to the full course content and library of resources. Students must complete all self-study and live training within the 12 month period of booking.

Please note:
Students must possess good knowledge of verbal and written English to successfully complete this program.
Students must have some formal basic training and / or 1 season of onboard experience.
Students must have a good working knowledge of onboard SOPs and administration.
Students must be at least 18 years old.
Throughout the duration of this course, students will study the following modules:
An introduction to yacht interior housekeeping
Laundry procedures and duties
Handling guest personal items and luggage
