The Crew Academy’s GUEST-accredited HR, Recruitment & Retention course is designed to enhance the student’s knowledge of superyacht crew management.
In this course, you'll learn about Maritime Conventions, Health & Safety, Security Policies, and the importance of following Yacht Standing Orders and an Ethical Code of Conduct. We'll cover crew contracts in line with Maritime Labour Convention standards, and the process for ensuring crew qualifications and certifications.
The course also teaches you how to attract, recruit, nurture, and retain the best talent. This includes practical guidance on creating job descriptions, effective interviewing techniques for hiring, and induction processes for new crew members.
You'll also learn about fostering positive employee relationships, performance management, identifying training opportunities, and how to manage and commit to crew wellbeing.
By the end, you will be equipped to manage your crew with an emphasis on professionalism, compliance, safety, and support, promoting a well-run and contented work environment.

Approximately 12 hours of blended learning which takes place online, allowing students to join from any time-zone and location.
