Household Facilities Technician

We are looking for an experienced Household Facilities Technician to join a growing UHNW family based in Atlanta, USA, supporting the smooth running, maintenance and presentation of their main residence.

This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys being practical, takes pride in their work and is the type of person who notices when something needs attention and gets it sorted. You will be involved in everything from general property maintenance and grounds to managing contractors and helping keep the estate running to a high standard.

We are looking for someone with at least 5 years' experience within a UHNW private household, as the successful candidate will understand the discretion, flexibility and high standards expected when working directly for a private family.

Position: Household Facilities Technician
Location: Atlanta USA
Contract: Permanent, Full-Time
Salary: $40/ hour, TBD
Work Schedule: Monday-Friday, 9:00 AM–5:00 PM

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out hands-on maintenance and general upkeep across the property
• Oversee and coordinate HVAC, plumbing, electrical, pool, landscaping and other household systems
• Carry out regular property inspections and deal with issues proactively
• Manage and coordinate vendors and contractors, ensuring work is completed to a high standard and on time
• Work closely with the Estate Manager, Property Manager, Interior Manager and housekeeping team
• Assist with preparing the property for family visits and events
• Help coordinate vendors and temporary staff for events and projects
• Keep storage areas stocked with beverages, cleaning supplies and household essentials
• Assist with the care of the family's two small dogs, including feeding and walking
• Run errands and provide general support to the property and family as required

The ideal candidate:

• Be based locally in Atlanta, ideally within a reasonable commuting distance
• Have a strong understanding of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, security and AV systems
• Have good knowledge of landscaping and grounds maintenance
• Have experience managing and supervising contractors and service providers
• Be reliable, organised and comfortable working independently
• Be hands-on, practical and happy to roll up their sleeves and get involved
• Have a proactive, solutions-focused approach and strong attention to detail
• Have good computer skills; experience with Nines, SharePoint and Office 365 would be an advantage
• Be comfortable around dogs and helping with occasional household and family errands
