To apply for your CoC, you must also meet the following requirements of maritime / sea service:

Verified experience working in a senior role, including 12 months experience working on board a superyacht, with 60 guests on days.

OR Evidence of 3 years Management experience in the Maritime industry.
Please note: The Crew Academy provides you with all the training and support required to be eligible for your IAMI GUEST CoC. Once you are eligible, you will need to make a separate application to IAMI in order to gain your official qualification.
Platform access
Students booking onto the Purser GUEST CoC program with The Crew Academy will gain immediate access to the full course content and library of resources. Students must complete all self-study and live training within the 12 month period of booking.

Valid Passport
CV (Demonstrating management experience within the maritime sector or yacht experience in a senior/HoD position).
Please note:
You MUST have a good knowledge of verbal and written English to successfully complete the program. If English is not your first language, you may need to complete the Maritime English for Seafarer's test (marlins.co.uk) to assess your proficiency.
You MUST already have a good working knowledge of computers and mathematical calculations.
You should be at least 25 years old, younger applicants must meet specific entry requirements.
Welcome to the Purser program.
Before you arrive at our training facility, please familiarise yourself with kelp. our online learning platform. Please also take some time to read through the pre-course material which you will find below.
Throughout each module, you will find additional tasks to complete as you make your way through. This will include core module readings, reflective writing to capture your thoughts on specific areas of the module and learning how to complete a basic set of charter accounts using Microsoft Office.
You may be asked to share and discuss these completed tasks in the live sessions with your course tutor, enhancing your presentation skills.
Throughout this module, you will watch a series of short videos which take you through Voly's features, benefits and capabilities. The module also includes a live demonstration and Q&A session with the team at Voly, and each section culminates in a multiple choice quiz.
Welcome to the Advanced Leadership program.
This program is specifically aimed at current and new managers looking to develop the skills, reflection, and confidence needed to lead teams and individuals effectively, particularly within the yachting industry.
The core aim of this program is to equip managers with the essential management and leadership skills to improve the onboard experience on your vessel for all crew.
We can help you achieve a positive and harmonious work environment that promotes the health, safety, and well-being of those within the team.
By completing the program, you will acquire the necessary skills, knowledge, and behaviors to ensure your team is engaged, motivated, and highly performing to achieve success.
Participants will also increase their self-awareness around their abilities, behaviors, and actions, while simultaneously growing and developing core capabilities in leadership, well-being, and agility.
This program takes place over one evening, 5 to 9pm UK, the session is hosted via zoom and consists of 4 hours of live training with your course trainer Andrew.
