This critical Maritime Asbestos Awareness course is designed for any crew member working on a ship or platform, and is equally relevant for shore personnel and any contractors who work onboard.
The impact of asbestos exposure on health is often severely underestimated as it can take years for symptoms to develop. The goal of this program is to significantly increase your knowledge about Asbestos in order to reduce risks working on board.
This is an entry-level awareness course, which stresses that Asbestos should only be handled or removed from the ship by specialists who have received advanced, specialised training to do so.

Identifying & Containing (Module 2)
This course provides a comprehensive understanding of asbestos, its applications, associated risks, and safety measures. It emphasises the importance of awareness, training, and compliance in handling asbestos-containing materials (ACMs).
Health Effects Associated (Module 3)
This course provides a comprehensive overview of asbestos, its associated health risks, and the importance of safety measures in handling it. It emphasises the dangers of exposure, proper training, and regulatory compliance to ensure safety.
