TCA – Advanced Interior Administration (IAMI GUEST Unit 34)

The Crew Academy’s IAMI and GUEST-accredited Yacht Interior Administration eLearning course is designed to facilitate Interior crew members with a seamless transition from junior to senior roles.

Participants will learn the importance of communication, etiquette, and pivotal skills that significantly influence your success in senior positions. Here you will gain insights into effective communication strategies to use with both crew and guests, ensuring a harmonious and respectful environment on board.

Through case studies and practical exercises, participants will learn to manage and implement efficient interior administrative systems that enhance operational standards. Additionally, this course places a strong emphasis on personal training development, providing guidance on maintaining health and well-being not just for yourself, but also for others. 

This holistic approach ensures that you are well-equipped to maintain the highest standards of service and personal health in your senior role.

Who it's for

This program is aimed at experienced crew members, with a minimum of one season onboard operational experience.

Course Format

  • 8 hours of guided eLearning through the kelp platform.

  • Series of multiple-choice knowledge checks throughout the course.

  • Practical assessments throughout.

  • Online examination to complete.

Accreditation

  • IAMI GUEST Certificate for Unit 34 - Yacht Interior Administration.

  • After completing the course, you will officially be part of our Alumni community and will have free access to our Mental Health courses as well as discounts on other courses.

Please note:

  • Students must possess good knowledge of verbal and written English to successfully complete this program.

  • Students must have some formal basic training and / or 1 season of onboard experience.

  • Students must have a good working knowledge of onboard SOPs and administration.

  • Students must be at least 18 years old.

Self-Study Content Online Course

Throughout the duration of this course, students will study the following modules:

  • The transition from junior to senior roles and the importance of good etiquette & communication.

  • Health, Safety & Security Administrations in the Interior Department and how to apply the Yacht Standing Orders.

  • The purpose of an Interior Administration and SOPs, and how to apply Professional Interior Administrations to maintain Standards in the Interior Department.

  • How to operate the Interior Information Management Systems, apply Guest preferences & effectively deal with contractors & placing orders.

  • How to implement Personal Training Development & maintain health & wellbeing for self & others.
