The Crew Academy’s Addiction & Recovery course provides crew with the awareness, knowledge and tools to support those who are struggling.
Now more than ever, addiction and recovery is a crucial topic that must be discussed. This course provides the awareness and knowledge needed to understand the signs to look out for.
This TCA accredited program is completely free and is for any and all yacht crew.
Course Format

Blended learning delivered online via kelp.

2 hours of live teaching - Sunday, 5pm to 7pm UK time.

30 minutes of guided self-study.

The core themes of addiction through to recovery

Why relapses happen and what are the outcomes for rehabilitation.

What other options are available to create the right environment for an addict to enter permanent recovery

How to support those who are in the cycle of chronic addiction and how to identify the warning signs for those that are just starting out on their journey of addiction.

Tools and tips on how to take the time, to not judge, to ask the right questions and to direct the person struggling to the help that they require.
Platform access
Students booking onto the Addiction and Recovery program with The Crew Academy will gain immediate access to the full course content and library of resources. Students must complete all self-study and live training within the 12 month period of booking.
