The Crew Academy’s IAMI GUEST accredited Advanced Housekeeping program is designed to provide students with the tools and expertise needed to become highly proficient in Housekeeping services and ensure the smooth operation on board.
This advanced program imparts students with knowledge on all aspects of Housekeeping and helps them to master efficient Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for consistent, exceptional service.
You will walk away with a deeper understanding of suitable practices for waste management, empowering you to play a direct role in protecting marine environments.
This course also gives you an insight into how to meticulously care for high-value items, how to perfect intricate details such as flawless turndowns, and the health and safety risks involved with using cleaning chemicals and equipment.

Online examination (30 multiple choice or short answer questions, 1 hour).

Platform access
Students booking onto the Advanced Housekeeping Service program with The Crew Academy will gain immediate access to the full course content and library of resources. Students must complete all self-study and live training within the 12 month period of booking.

Please note:
Students must possess good knowledge of verbal and written English to successfully complete this program.
Students must have some formal basic training and / or 1 season of onboard experience.
Students must have a good working knowledge of onboard SOPs and administration.
Students must be at least 18 years old.
Throughout the duration of this course, students will study the following modules:
Housekeeping operations
Cleaning techniques and equipment
Managing housekeeping services
Health and safety
