Designed to equip leaders with the awareness to drive positive change onboard.
Description
The Crew Academy’s GUEST-accredited Captain & HOD Mental Health Awareness course is specifically designed to equip leaders in yachting with the awareness to drive positive change.
Senior Leaders onboard are often only able to deal with the “urgent” and not always able to deal with the “important” as owners, guests and crew vie for their limited time.
They recognise that positive mental health is a key-contributor to an efficient, happy, and productive boat and they want to be able to help and support their crew and prolong their careers on their vessels.
However, being able to do this without having the knowledge nor the toolbox to do so, means this ‘important’ and much needed part of their leadership role remains a challenge.

Course Format
Two four-hour early evening sessions of live lectures, collaborative group workshops and open discussions delivered over Zoom.
The first session is an introduction to managing Mental Health for all yacht crew. The second day will focus specfically on challenges for senior leaders in yachting.

" Very interesting to get so much input from an expert, and think about how I did apply it already and how to improve, and also very interesting to share with other fellow crew members, their experience and their various points if view and sensitivity on certain matters. "
