Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and highly capable Senior Service Staff / Butler to support the day-to-day service of a UHNWI based in Canada.

This role is ideally suited to an ex-yacht Steward or an experienced Butler who understands the highest standards of service, presentation and discretion.

The successful candidate will be confident working in a private setting, able to read the room with ease and provide seamless support while respecting the Principal's privacy and lifestyle.

Position: Senior Service Staff / Butler

Salary: 85,000 CAD for 6 months contract

Contract: Full-Time, Fixed-Term (6 Months)

Start Date: April

Location: Private residence, Canada

Key Responsibilities:

You will be responsible for delivering a high level of personalised service within the principal's residence, ensuring a seamless and relaxed environment at all times. This is a place the principal values as a retreat from a demanding professional life, requiring a calm, intuitive and well-organised approach to service.

This is a senior, hands-on role requiring strong emotional intelligence and awareness. You must be able to read the room, understand the principal's preferences and provide attentive yet unobtrusive service.

You will be responsible for table setting, service flow and maintaining excellent presentation and etiquette at all times. Family and friends will join the principal occasionally, requiring a flexible and polished approach to a formal and more structured hosting.

You will oversee wardrobe management, including packing and unpacking for travel, garment care and maintaining an organised wardrobe to a high standard.

Working closely with the wider household team, you will ensure consistently high standards are upheld across all aspects of the residence. A collaborative, hands-on and proactive approach is essential. Driving duties may occasionally be required, including transporting the principal when needed.Above all, you will act as a trusted and discreet presence within the household, bringing a yacht-level standard of service while supporting a refined yet relaxed lifestyle.

Application Requirements:

Proven experience as yacht Steward or candidates with formal butler experience within a private household. Candidates must demonstrate exceptional service standards, discretion and a polished, professional presentation. Must be legally able to work in Canada.

A confident driver is preferred and a plus if experienced operating small boats is highly desirable.

Additional Information:

The principal and guests will be in residence for long weekends most of the time.

Days off are scheduled on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, to be discussed with the HOD's.
