Job Description

We are seeking an energetic, educated and highly organised Governess / Tutor to support a young child within a busy private family based in the UK, within easy reach of London. This is an exciting new position for someone who enjoys an active lifestyle, has a genuine passion for education and personal development, and can bring a range of skills, interests and experiences to a child's everyday life.

The child is curious, enthusiastic and always keen to be doing something, whether learning a new skill, taking part in sports, exploring new interests or attending after-school activities. The ideal candidate will be someone who can keep up with this energy, encourage curiosity and independence, and introduce new experiences that support the child's learning and development.

Job Title: Governess/ Tutor

Location: London

Salary: TBD

Starting date: ASAP

Contract: Full time, rotational 3 weeks on/ 3 weeks off

The role will involve planning and managing a busy schedule of activities, coordinating timetables and commitments, and researching fun, educational and age-appropriate experiences. This includes organising after-school activities, sports, classes, holiday programmes and courses, as well as finding interesting things to do in the local area when the family is travelling or spending time away from home. The successful candidate should be resourceful and forward-thinking, always looking for new opportunities and experiences that will keep the child engaged and encourage them to develop new interests and life skills.

Excellent organisational and IT skills are essential. The candidate must be highly tech-savvy and confident using digital tools, calendars, apps and planning systems to manage a busy schedule, coordinate activities, keep track of appointments and commitments, and ensure everything runs smoothly. The ability to plan ahead, manage changing schedules and stay on top of multiple arrangements is particularly important.

We are looking for someone who is naturally proactive, hands-on and full of ideas, with the confidence to take the lead in organising activities while remaining supportive and encouraging.

Previous experience as Governess, Tutor or educational childcare position within an UHNW household is essential, alongside a strong educational background and relevant qualifications.

Additional languages, sporting abilities, musical talents or other specialist skills that could be shared with the child would be a real advantage.

This is a permanent rotational position, working three weeks on and three weeks off. During working rotations, the family requires a high level of commitment, flexibility and involvement in the child's daily routine.

If you have the relevant experience and have the right to work in the UK, we would love to hear from you.
