Description

Now more than ever, mental health and suicide prevention are crucial topics that must be discussed.

This 4-hour TCA & MH England Certified course is completely free and is for Captains, HOD’s and all Senior Crew, and covers:

  • The principles that underpin suicide prevention and awareness
  • How to identify the warning signs
  • How to bring a person away from a place of danger and isolation
  • How to create a place of safety and comfort
  • The core themes of addiction through to recovery
  • Why relapses happen and what are the outcomes for rehabilitation.
  • What other options are available to create the right environment for an addict to enter permanent recovery
  • How to support those who are in the cycle of chronic addiction and how to identify the warning signs for those that are just starting out on their journey of addiction.
  • Tools and tips on how to take the time, to not judge, to ask the right questions and to direct the person struggling to the help that they require

14-day minimum cancellation: any cancellations after that will result in no refund. Any alumni who take the course for free, and fail to attend or don't cancel more than 14 days ahead, will be charged the full cost of the course.
